Laverda Library

The library is a collection of rare and useful Laverda memorabilia collected over some 34 years by club members. Until recently this has been held in two dusty filing cabinets under the capable control of club archivest John Faulkner. A selection of this material is now available to ILOC members on the club’s website. A small example of the content is shown on the Library page.  To see the rest, non-members will need to join the International Laverda Owners Club and can do so online via PayPal.

There are currently over 300 different documents held online.  These range from 1970’s A3 sales brochures and photographs of the original 1950’s Laverda racing bikes to such exotic gems as brochures on Laverda caravans and Jota 120 – ‘The return of the Orange Fireball’. There are several photographs of Laverda prototypes, the Laverda V6 and a 1000cc SOHC prototype dating from 1971.

Belgian Rally 3-4 September

I Laverdisti Belgie

belgium_rally_2009_200pxKeith Prentice writes:

Last year's event went well with attendance boosted from the 2008 inaugural rally organised by Dominique Dequeecker. Camping is available for the Friday & Saturday night. The location is a football club so the camping is on level & well turfed grass.

It would be good to see more ILOC members there! Smile
